KWEK-KWEK in DIVISORIA

As in many other places in the Philippines, the kwek-kwek is a popular streetfood for the Kagayanons.

Lining the streets of Park Cafe in Divisoria from 5:00 p.m.-up are kwek-kwek vendors selling the orange-colored eggs. Budget-friendly at Php10, you get your kwek-kwek with your choice of sauce (Sweet, spicy, or soy sauce) and a siding of julliened cucumber.☺ Be careful not to eat too much though as one large egg is about 76 calories and is mostly carbohydrates and fat.

The kwek-kwek is not a complicated dish and you can make one in the comfort of your home. The battered egg is deep fried and served with a simple sauce. Here's a simple kwek-kwek recipe.
